Dionne Warwick is a legendary artist from the late 50’s that has returned at the young age of 80 with lots of energy bringing us a brand new album entitled “She’s Back” an oh, how elated we are to hear that!
Who knew an Orange, New Jersey former girl scout would turn out to be one of the most captivating voices of all time.
Dionne Warwick ranks among the 40 biggest hit makers between 1955 and 1999, based on the Billboard’s Hot 100 pop singles chart.
She is one of the most charted female vocalists of all time, with 56 of her singles making the Hot 100 between 1962 and 1998 and 80 singles in total either solo or collaboratively.
In 1985, Warwick recorded the American Foundation for AIDS Research benefit single “That’s What Friends Are For” featuring Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder. The single, credited to “Dionne and Friends”, was released in October of 85′ and eventually raised over three million dollars for that cause.
Dionne returned to bring us yet another album as of May 2019 that we were excited to dive into and well all you need to know about that is.. “She’s Back”.
